Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Government of Pakistan, invites Expression of Interest (Eol) from reputed Consulting Firm(s) for comprehensively studying and conducting a series of seminars for creating awareness amongst the stakeholders of the opportunities arising out of normalization of trade with India.

The brief Terms of Reference (ToRs) are as under:

■    Preparation of an analytical study covering:

•    Market Potential of Pakistani Products in India

•    Current import and export trends of both countries

•    Impact of imports from India on local industry especially Textile, Pharmaceutical and Auto industry

•    Consumption pattern of Pakistani products in India

•    Import regulations and customs laws of India

•    India’s PTA’s and FTA’s with other countries and their impact on Pakistan

•    Drafting of a Complaint Redressal Mechanism

•    Analyze and evaluate the competitiveness of competing products and its eventual complementarity for each country

■    Conducting interactive seminars in different cities of Pakistan regarding opportunities and challenges arising from the normalization of trade with India

The detailed Terms of Reference (ToRs) and other Terms and Conditions are available in the Request for Proposal (RFP) document, which is available from the office (below) from November 30, 2011 during the office hours, on the payment of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred) via cheque/pay order (non-refundable) in favour of Accounts Officer, TDAP Karachi.

Single Stage-Two Envelopes method, according to the PPRA, will be followed. Envelopes shall be marked as ‘Financial Proposal’ and ‘Technical Proposal’ in bold and legible letters to avoid confusion and initially, only the envelope marked ‘Technical Proposal’ shall be opened. The bids shall be accompanied with Bid Security

equivalent to 1% of the bid amount in the form of pay order and in a sealed envelope.

The last date of submission of complete bid documents is Thursday, December 15, 2011 (12 noon PST). The ‘Technical Proposal’ will be opened on the same day at 12:30 pm in the presence of representatives of bidding firms who wish to be present at the address given below. The bid documents shall include the following:
