Sindh Indigenous and Traditional Crafts Company (SITCO) requires services of a professional person for a management position for the revival of traditional crafts and addressing the social, economic and technical factors to check its decline.
The assignment includes drawing up a road map for the survival of an environment that nurtures die traditional skills, to initiate comprehensive documentation of individual craftsmen, a crafts map to promote and develop programs and activities and to encourage crafts person and artisans by extending training, financial assistance and market strategies.
Setting up outlets for the crafts and encouraging craftsmen cooperatives and self-employment of womenfolk, youth, craftsmen and persons involved in tradition crafts.
To carryout feasibility and sectorial/sub sectorial studies for determining the technical and economic viability of products and services of artisans.
Other office routine matters along with administration and financial duties – Reports etc.
Atleast six years* field experience in revival of traditional crafts.
