Support to Good Governance Programme

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development GIZ implements the Support to Good Governance Programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), which is seeking a candidate for the following position for its Peshawar office;

Technical Advisor Tax Administration and Registration (Reference No. SGGP 2015/015)

•    Advanced degree (master’s level) in economics, business, accounting, law, public administration or a related discipline from a reputable university

•    At least 3-5 years of full time work experience in a reputable organisation (international organisation, national administration, consultancy, etc.) active in the field of taxation

•    Sound knowledge of the provincial tax system of Pakistan and issues of tax administration, in particular the sales tax registration processes

•    Experience in dealing with the administrative body of the public sector at the provincial level

•    Excellent command of spoken and written English

•    Excellent command of the MS office package

•    Good analytical abilities, strong inter-personal skills and team player

•    General interest in economic developments, public finance and fiscal policy

•    Flexible and willing to adapt as required by the Programme and at the request of management

P.Tiririif^ Advisor Municipal Services (Reference No. SGGP 2015/024)

•    University degree in a topic related course (e.g. public administration)

•    Minimum 5 years of professional working experience

•    Significant knowledge and experience of the political and administrative system in Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

•    Very good speaking and writing skills in English and Urdu
