The Information and Culture department, Government of the Punjab is responsible for development, promotion and dissemination of our cultural heritage. The department is also undertaking various initiatives for revival of cultural heritage. Its main activities are to ensure raising awareness and promoting the visibility of the government and collection, analysis and distribution of information and best practices.
The department intends to hire services of a ‘Communication Manager/Consultant’. Working closely with the Management Team in the Information and Culture department, the Communications Manager is responsible for the development, positive positioning and ongoing management of various government media campaigns and PR initiatives. The Communications Manager will be responsible for communicating key messages to defined target audiences to establish goodwill and understanding between the government and its stakeholders. This is proactively achieved by generating positive coverage through effective media relations with broadcast, print and new media. A key role will be to monitor the publicity that is generated on behalf of the government. Additionally, liaising on an everyday basis with the PR management team to update and report on the success of the publicity.
