The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) has been established under an Act of the Parliament. It is a premier and first of its kind institute created to provide quality research and capacity building services for the National and provincial legislatures and their functionaries. The Executive Director is the Chief Executive of the Institute and works under the control of the Board of Governors.
Applications are invited for the post of Executive Director, Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services. The candidates are requested to send their detailed Curriculum Vitas with a covering letter describing their vision and leadership to run the Institute, to the undersigned within 15 days of the date of advertisement at the address given
below. According to the Second Schedule of PIPS Employees (Recruitment & Conditions of Service) Rules, 2010 the post is placed in MP-1 scale and prescribed educational qualification, experience and age are as follows:

1 Executive Director (MP-I) 1 Ph.D with minimum 15 years relevant professional management, administrative and legislative experience in local or international organizations- OR Master’s degree/LLB with minimum 25 years relevant administrative, management and legislative experience, the candidate should be a person of international repute known for scholastic achievements with leadership qualities, dynamic personality and reasonable administrative background. Expertise in managing training/education, research or information services would be preferable. Minimum 50 years
The powers and functions of the Executive Director will include but not limited to the following:
To ensure efficient functioning of the Institute and to run the day to day administrative matters of the Institute.
To carry out the directives and decisions of the Board and to formulate the programs for their implementation.
To formulate and implement training and research plans for parliamentarians and parliamentary functionaries.
To arrange for the conferences, seminars, workshops, orientation and refresher courses for parliamentarians and parliamentary functionaries.
To prepare annual report of the Institute for submission of the Board.
