POSITIONS AVAILABLE

A Project Unit of Department of Health, Government of Punjab, invites applications from eligible individual “Consultants” through World Bank sponsored Technical Assistance, as Environment Health Specialist” and “Procurement Specialist” from the market. The qualification, experience and other requirements for the positions are as under:

1.    Environment  Health  Specialist    01    * MSc/Sixteen years Qualification in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Management    *    At least 05 years experience of environmental management in the Health Sector including Hospital and Health Care Waste Management.  *    Experience of liasoning with donors & other stakeholders on behalf of Health Department will be an added advantage.  *    Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment.  *    Excellent IT and report writing skills.    * Market based competitive salary (lump-sum with no other benefits) based on qualification and experience will be offered.
2.    Procurement Specialist    01    * Masters degree in Engineering, Management, Law & Finance    *    At least 05 years post-qualification experience in the field of procurement in public sector or with the International Organization/ Donor funded projects.  *    Experience of designing and managing all procurement operations as per World Bank Guidelines and PPRA.  *    Good understanding of national and international Procurement Policy & Reforms.  *    Knowledge of entire implementation procurement strategy including preparation of IFBs, RFPs, bid documents, evaluation of proposals, awarding of contracts, in accordance with World Bank guidelines.  *    Experience to ensure quality assurance of procurement deliverables  as per World Bank guidelines.  *    Knowledge of new procurement practices involving better value for money like e-procurement etc.  *    Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with Bank specific application in SAP and report writing skills.    * Market based competitive salary (lump-sum with no other benefits) based on qualification and experience will be offered

The contract period shall be for one year. The contract is likely to be extended with the approval of competent authority, subject to satisfactory performance and the candidates shall bring the original document at the time of interview.

The Consultants will be hired as per World Bank Selection and Employment of Consultant Services (Section-V) and World Bank Funded Projects – January 2011.
