Required Services
of Senior Legal Advisor/Legal Advisor
Lahore Development Authority intends to engage well-reputed Advocates/Lawyers/Law Firms, having extensive experience in working with Government set up, for seeking legal services in the following areas;
i. Acquisition of Land and litigations on land matters.
ii. Legal matters pertaining to Housing Societies.
iii. Legal matters pertaining to Town & Metropolitan Planning, Commercialization and Civil Works.
iv. Service Matters.
v. Contract Management.
vi. Labour Laws & Matters.
vii. Miscellaneous Legal Issues assigned by the Authority. Advocates/Lawyers/Law Firms must be able to provide following Services;
i. Pleading and defending civil suits for and against LDA in Civil courts and superior courts
ii. Filing of appeals against Orders/Decrees for and against LDA in Appellate Courts.
iii. Vetting of contracts/agreements.
iv. Assistance in legal issues pertaining to execution of contracts/ agreements.
v. Any other legal proposition related to other official matters.
vi. The firm will have to provide legal advice in day to day legal issues and financial aspects.
For the post of the Senior Legal Advisor the advocates and in case of Law Firms some of its members must be advocate(s) of Supreme Court of Pakistan having at least twenty years active practice at the Bar. For the posts of the Legal Advisor the advocates and in case of Law Firms some of its members must be advocate(s) of High Court and have been actively practicing as advocate for a period not less than five years immediately before the last date fixed for the receipt of applications for appointment.
a. The advocate having higher qualification and ample experience in relevant field shall be preferred.
b. In addition to active practice he/she must have in depth knowledge of Land Laws & Matters, Service & Labour Laws, corporate & Civil Laws and financial issues involved in such matters.
The Legal Firm must be registered under Partnership Act 1932 and its members should have valid license to do practice of law under Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 and have been enrolled as an advocate of Supreme Court and High Court. Advocates/Lawyers/Firms fulfilling the above criteria may send their application with detailed CVs & brief profile of the firm mentioning the names, qualifications and experience of lawyers/advocates working in that firm on the following address latest by 14.07.2012 IPL-9123
