SITUATION VACANT
University of Karachi / BOG of SZIC invites application for the post of Director (B-20/21), Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center, University of Karachi, Karachi.
A. Minimum qualification, experience and publications prescribed for
the post:-
i) Ph.D in Islamic Studies/Arabic Language.
ii) Five (05) years teaching and research experience in a recognized University, National or International Organization as Professor (BPS-20/21).
iii) Eight (08) publications in the journals of international repute.
iv) The maximum age limit will not exceed 55 years (relaxable maximum by 2 years on the recommendation of the concerned Selection Board).
B. The candidate having appropriate administrative experience would
be given preference.
C. Terms and Conditions of appointment:-
i) The appointment will be made EITHER on contract basis initially for a period of 4 years OR a working Professor (B-20/21) of any institution who applies and found suitable for the post may be appointed on deputation basis with deputation allowance as admissible under rules.
ii) The incumbent will be eligible for re-appointment subject to his I her satisfactory performance in his I her first tenure.
iii) On satisfactory completion of four years service as Director, the incumbent may be granted B-21 by the competent authority provided the incumbent has published 5 publications in journals of international repute during his / her tenure as Director.
iv) The incumbent will be allowed pay, usual allowance and perquisites admissible under rules to an officer of B-20, or, as the case may be, B-21.
